A technologist turned insurance professional, helping Capital District families and small businesses protect what they've built, with a particular focus on cyber risk.
01 — About
My story
I was born and raised in Albany, lived in Watervliet and Menands along the way, and have called East Greenbush home for more than twenty years. The Capital District is home, and the people we serve are our neighbors.
Before insurance, I spent a long career in technology. That work taught me how systems fail, how businesses really run, and how quickly one breach can turn a good year into a bad one.
In 2026, my son David and I opened Loomis Family Insurance Agency at 1801 6th Ave in Troy. As an independent agency, we can compare coverage from multiple insurance companies. We help local families with home, auto, and life insurance, and we help Capital District businesses, especially auto repair shops and restaurants, find the right commercial protection. My own focus is cyber insurance, where my technology background really pays off for our clients.

The best meetings I take are on a trail.
When I'm not working, I'm usually out hiking with my family. It's how we spend time together, how we catch up, and how we've seen some of the most beautiful places in the country, and beyond.

In 2026, we climbed to the top of Mount Fuji with Mike, Patrice, my niece Melissa, and her husband Chan.
